With the Digi-Pas® 2-axis digital machinist levels, the constant "trial & error” for aligning is in the past. These intelligent digital levels/inclinometers are of high accuracy for 2-axis levelling, 2D angle measurement and tilt alignment. They replace the traditional 1-axis analog spirit levels and involve surface planes that demand 2-dimensional solution.

In addition, 2-axis digital levels from Digi-Pas® use static sensors of inclination with no moving parts in contrary to conventional models that use a pendulum. In addition to effective work and a fast installation & set-up time (1-Man Operation).

The advantages of Digi-Pas® 2-axis digital levels:

  • simultaneous measurement on the 2 axes: XY;
  • fast measurement without inertia effect (no moving parts);
  • no need for adjustment (with pendulum model it is necessary to adjust level along the perpendicular axis so that the pendulum moves in a perfectly vertical plane);
  • no maintenance required, the Digi-Pas spirit levels are equipped with a self-calibration function;
  • the precision is an absolute constant independent of the measured angle (not a % of the measured value);
  • time savings: simultaneous inclination measurement in 2 axes.

Digi-Pas® 2-axis machinist levels can be divided into 3 groups. Aligning machines is all about accuracy, the larger the machine the more accurate the level must be:

  1. The entry-level models, the precision smart levels DWL-1300XY (0.01°/ 0.18mm/m) DWL-1500XY (0.001°/0.020mm/m), DWL-1900XY (0.001°/0.020mm/m), working via Machinist App for faster machine set-up and inspection.
  2. The mid-range models, the higher precision machinist levels DWL-3000XY (0.01°/0.175mm/m), DWL-3500XY (0.001°/0.018mm/m), which measure aside angles also vibrations and via PC Sync Professional software you can apply data logging and analysis and print out reports for machine maintenance. This software is optional.
  3. The master models, the ultra-precision levels DWL-8500XY (1 arcsec/ 0.005mm/m), DWL-9000XY (0.2 arcsec/0.001mm/m), which measure aside angles also vibrations and via PC Sync Professional software you can apply data logging and analysis and print out reports for machine maintenance. This software is included in the delivery. These models are used for large size CNC machining set up and quality assurance purposes.

All Digi-Pas® machine levels are supplied with a unique calibration certificate from Digi-Pas. They are highly accurate and verified by third party accredited calibration laboratories and testing organizations in the US, Japan and Germany in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ANSI/NCSL Z540. -1, traceable to NIST, JIS, and DIN.

These 2-axis Digi-Pas levels are all equipped with Bluetooth function. Only with the mid-range & master models you can choose working by USB cable (supplied with delivery) or by Bluetooth. Machine’s structural stability and accuracy performance evalutation & analysis can be characterised using these models for levelling and vibration measurements. Vibration caused by improper levelling affects accuracy performance. Built-in vibrometer and data logging features enable setup team to effectively evaluate each CNC machine structure stability with precise numerical data and vibration graphs.
